Walgreens Robbery Caught on Tape

The man allegedly pushed a Gulfport Walgreens employee out of the way as he took off with stolen goods.

A Walgreens employee tried to stop the man from taking off with a pink tote bag and other items from the store, but he pushed the victim and left with the bag in hand, according to Gulfport Police.

The robbery was captured by the store's video surveillance and police provided the victim with a photo line-up. The employee positively identified the man.

According to Pinellas County arrest reports, Henry Marchal Cummings, 44, of St. Petersburg robbed Walgreens at 5701 Gulfport Blvd. S. in May and was arrested on the charges of strong arm robbery and petit theft more than 2 months later - on July 31.

On May 22 around 12:45 p.m., Cummings entered the store, grabbed a pink tote bag and possibly other unknown store items, according to reports. The employee saw him leaving the store and tried to grab the bag from him. That's when Cummings pushed the victim and left the store, police say.

Cummings is being held in the Pinellas County Jail on $9,500 bail for both charges.
