Tangerine Blues Fest Lures Thousands to Gulfport

This year, organizers expanded the 6th annual event and that may have paid off!

The 6th Annual Tyrone Square Mazda Presents the Tangerine Blues Festival kicked off at 10 a.m. this year. That's right, organizers added more music and more variety.

The morning included blue grass performers Boilin' Oil, Sycamore Shade and The Blue Grass Sound. The evening including blues performers: Charlie Morris Band, Lauren Mitchell Band, TC Carr and Selwyn Birchwood Band.

The event is not only a community celebration of music, it's also a fundraiser for All Children's Hospital.

The event, which is put on by The 49th St. Business Association, has helped raise more than $16,200 for All hospital in the past three years.

While organizers don't have attendance numbers yet, officials say this year's changes were a success. Check out our photos!
