Happy Birthday Tiki Bike!
The Tiki Bike is turning 1 at this year's Geckofest! Stop by for a fun birthday party complete with cake at Red Hot Tiki in Gulfport.
No need to wait until Christmas or Halloween to see popular decorations around town. Stop by Red Hot Tiki in Gulfport and you'll see almost every holiday imaginable represented on "The Tiki Bike."
That's right, the bike has been chained to a tree in front of the downtown business for nearly a year.
It was abandoned during the 2012 Geckofest. Months passed and no one claimed the bike, so, Rhonda, co-owner of Red Hot Tiki, began decorating it while she waited for it's rightful owner to come back.
Decorations continue to be added to the bike - never taken away. With each holiday, the bike becomes more and more vibrant among an already colorful Waterfront District.
The owners of Red Hot Tiki are inviting everyone to a birthday party for the bike during this year's Geckofest on Saturday, August 31 from 10 - 12 p.m. And yes, there will be cake!
