Mary M. “Megan “Barrett is a Cert. Behavior Analyst - #0036, Professional Artist , Dog Rescuer (Chihuahuas and Mixes and the occasional lab) and Gulfport resident. Megan’s artwork can be seen at Gulfport art walks and area festivals – both art and dog. She specializes in floor cloths of bright colors, animal portraits, and colorful abstracts. Look out for the funky flamingoes and collaged dogs.

Megan did  cover artwork for Gulfport Magazine and has been featured Nationally in Chihuahua Connection and the Tampabay Examiner.

Megan works at Roe and Associates Integrated Behavioral Supports with adults and children with autism and developmental disabilities. In the future, she would like to use functional behavior analysis in assessing and training dogs and cats. Megan has volunteered for the Humane Society, Lab and Retriever rescues and most recently for many years, Chihuahua Rescue and transport.

When Chihuahua Rescue and transport left the state of Florida, Megan and other volunteers had to find homes for the dogs left behind. Megan eventually formed Limbo Chihuahuas with several other volunteers.

Megan currently has 12 foster dogs, three of which are senior dogs. Limbo Chihuahuas now has a board and five additional volunteers and foster homes. Limbo Chihuahuas now is serving 16 dogs and counting. To date (June 30th , 2011) Limbo Chihuahuas has found almost 30 dogs successful forever homes (in less than one year) and will continue in this mission.
