About CJ

Me, my Wife, and my Son are new to the area and we all want to help however we can fit in. Neither of us know how that will be yet. We left our beloved lifetime roots in Kansas. We wanted to move here while we still are ''kicking'' and ''crowing'' (ie, Peter Pan). I am 57, my wife 50, and my son 21. One place we are starting, is bringing our tiny old home...in a neighborhood that needs help...back into ''friendly'' shape. We want to put our first efforts into making ourselves good neighbors. I tend to come in with a bang, but actually am more of a follower willing to help out the leaders. We sank our whole small wad into moving here, and as humble as we may seem...we are anxious to start paying our dues and sharing with everyone our complete bursting joy we have with being here. This place might as well be heaven for us...because it seems like it is. It is my desire to be looked at as the type of newcomers that the people with roots here are glad to welcome.

I have finally managed to edit my profile user name so that it is now a little more private. Thanks for the help on how to do that. I also entered some profile details to help introduce ourselves. I am presently signed up to receive the emails related to ''The Old Northest/Downtown St Pete Patch'', and also ''The Gulfport Patch''. I personally favor and feel more related to The Gulfport Patch. That area and the various beaches along the Gulf from St Pete's Beach to Clearwater are where we go the most...but we especially love Gulfport since we live near it. That brings me to my question. We are not actully ''in'' Gulfport...but technically in St Petersonburg. Sort of the fringe area practiaclly in Gulfport, but not quite. We are ''barely north'' of 22nd...and ''barely east'' of 49th. What is that area called or nicknamed? We don't know yet. Is there a Patch for just that area? I get the feeling from comments I have read in the Gulfport Patch blogs...that there are many blog participants like us who are not really from Gulfport, either. We are learning as we go what our identity is. Obviously we will continue to put our volunteer efforts in to Gulfport, however I am not sure if we even qualify to use Gulport facilites as a resident...which we are not. I bet this question I pose is probably a common issue for those of us who are so close to Gulfport, but the reality is we are from St Petersburg.

Cameron,
If you send me your email address or email me directly (cherlene.willis@patch.com) I can explain a little more as to what I deleted and why.
Thanks,
Cherlene

Cameron,
I believe you can basically delete this profile and start a new profile with a new name and email address. If you want to keep this profile, you can - but each profile needs an email address associated with it.
Let me know if you have any problems.
Thanks,
Cherlene

How do I change my blog user name from Cameron ''CJ'' Mael and Family...to simply Cameron M. My wife and I have decided that is 'too much information'' and would prefer a user name that is more private. Thanks.

Cherlene, I appreciate your email notifying me of comments I have made that had problems that required them to be deleted. I am a new resident of the area and have been participating a lot in the blogs, and have made many comments. How do I know what the comments is that you deleted? I would like to know , so I can try and make sure I do not do the same thing again. I read your description of what you said the problem was, but I was not able to deduct what the comment entry was that you were referring to. Can you help direct me to the 2 comments that you deleted deleted? The links you included did not seem to do that...they simply took me to the article and the existing comments. I am stumped as to what it is that I wrote that was not allowed. Naturally, I am very interested in blogging within the rules and apologize for anything I may have not done correctly. Thanks, CJ.
