Community Mural Project Kicking Off

Organizers are inviting local artists to create a three-part mural representing Gulfport; it’s history and the community.

The official announcement of the project will be in December, however, organizers want to get the word out now to encourage artists to get involved and invite more sponsors to join. The project will consist of three murals located on the north and west walls of Liberty Tax and Piranha Graphix Signs in the Gulfport Square Business Center off 49th St. and Gulfport Blvd. The mural will welcome visitors to Gulfport and also bring awareness to the Gulfport Area Chamber of Commerce’s new location. The South 49th St. Business Association, Gulfport Area Chamber of Commerce, Gulfport Merchants Association, Liberty Tax, Piranha Graphix Signs and J DeFoe Suncoast Properties are co-sponsoring this project.
