Would you like to post events, announcements and blogs to Gulfport Patch? Keep this article handy each time there is something you'd like to share with our community. To post events to the site for free: navigate to the Events page and click “Add an Event” on the right side of the page. Tell us all the details about your upcoming event, then click “post my event” at the bottom of the page. That puts the event directly on our calendar. The end result is the same as if a Patch staffer had posted it for you. The only difference is, when you post it, it goes up right away. If you send it to us, you might have to wait until we're done reporting on the latest city commission meeting, photographing an event, meeting with community members or …

Social Media Party: Patch has partnered with Localshops1 to offer an evening of social media power tips geared to small businesses from local experts plus great appetizers and entertainment. The Ultimate Social Media Marketing Extravaganza and Business Expo is July 12 from 6-9 p.m. at the St. Petersburg Pier and includes some well-known local special guests as well as great food from Bowled Restaurant's Michael Cecere. The cost is $10 for LocalShops1 members and Pier tenants and $20 for everyone else. You're encouraged to register for the event as seats are limited. You may register online through LocalShops1.com.
