Travel Vaccines: Don't Leave the Country Just Yet

If summer vacation will bring travel to exotic lands, make sure your travel vaccines are up-to-date before you start packing your bags.

Pinellas County to Offer Vaccines Beginning on Monday, June 18, the Pinellas County Health Department will be providing foreign travel vaccines only at its new Mid-County Health Center, 8751 Ulmerton Rd., Largo. For information about hours and availability, call (727) 524-4410. All vaccine services are on a walk-in basis; no appointments are required. Foreign travel vaccines used to be provided at the St. Petersburg and Clearwater health centers. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Health Information for Travelers pages list health alerts, recommended vaccines and precautions at http://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/.
