Sweetbay Supermarket Donates $30,000 to Pack-A-Sack for Kids
Pack-A-Sack will be able to provide approximately 5,000 additional meals to local kids in need and expand the program to two additional public schools.
Sweetbay Supermarket presented a check for $30,000 to representatives of the Pinellas County-based non-profit, Pack-A-Sack 4 Kids, a program of the United Methodist Cooperative Ministries on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at First United Methodist Church in Clearwater. The funds are the result of the inaugural Sweetbay Supports Snack Sacks for Kids campaign, which took place between September 6 – 30, 2012. During that period, Bay area residents were encouraged to stop at participating Sweetbay stores to show their support by donating either a snack for $1 or a sack of snacks for $3.
