Welcome to your Sunday Sunset, a weekly photo feature that reminds us to take a moment and appreciate what it means to live in Gulfport. Patch reader and Facebook friend Thomas Alvi sent in this awesome panoramic photo taken at the end of the Walter & Bert Williams Fishing Pier. We asked Thomas why he likes this photo, he replied, "I love it because it's one of my favorite spots in all of Gulfport. I walk four miles a day around town and arriving to the pier from my house on the Tangerine Greenway is always a cool moment. Each time I arrive at this spot, I give thanks for living in such an amazing place. I always pause and soak it in for a moment before continuing along my way..." Thanks so much for sharing Thomas! Welcome to your Sunday Sunset, a weekly photo feature that reminds us to take a moment and appreciate what it means to live in Gulfport. Patch reader and local business owner Tony Althaus sent in five amazing photos taken at the Gulfport Municipal Marina in May. We asked Tony which photo of this bunch is his favorite and he picked the scenic view looking out into the bay. It's the featured photo in this gallery and it shows shades of pink, purple and yellow in the distance. "I blew this one up a bit and had it printed on a metallic paper that shimmers like a pearl essence painted car," Althaus replied. Thanks so much for sharing Tony! Welcome to your Sunday Sunset, a weekly photo feature that reminds us to take a moment and appreciate what it means to live in Gulfport. Bernie Hartman uploaded two sunset photos in our "Gulfport Pics & Clips" section of the website. Bernie says the photos were taken earlier this month in Pass-A-Grille. He and Kathryn Hartman were there for dinner when they also spotted a beach wedding. That's the reason for a harp on the beach! Thanks for sharing Bernie and Kathryn.
