The Outpost is uniquely Gulfport with it's collection of eclectic jewelry, home decor and clothing from artists around town.
The Outpost on Beach Boulevard offers a selection of the weird and the ecletic from artists and designers in Gulfport. Owned and operated for the past five years by Leslie Gilchrist, the Outpost is home to many unique knick-knacks and jewelry that help give Gulfport much of its inherent charm. The Outpost slogan “all things artful” also acts as a mantra for how Gilchrist likes to run her business. “Whether I find stuff or make stuff, I just want it to be fun and artistic,” Gilchrist said. From the “If you're too weird for Gulfport, you're just too weird” t-shirts to the individually designed jewelry, the Outpost focuses on the uniquely Gulfport, Kim Morrissey, a partner to Gilchrist, said.
