Free Ice Cream at the Fresh Market Today

Ben & Jerry's Scoop Truck will be parked at the Gulfport Fresh Market today!

The popular ice cream company Ben & Jerry's is giving away scoops of greek frozen yogurt at the Gulfport Tuesday Fresh Market on Tuesday, May 14, according to the Gulfport Tuesday Fresh Market's Facebook page. According to the Gulfport Tuesday Fresh Market's Facebook page, the Scoop Truck will be parked in front of La Cote Basque, 3104 Beach Blvd.,between 12 and 3 p.m. The Scoop Truck will be in the Tampa area now until May 24, according to the Ben & Jerry's website. 'Keep Gulfport Weird' Cookies at Fresh Market

You can find edible art every Tuesday at Southern Belle's Cottage Bakery at the Gulfport Fresh Market.

One of the Gulfport Tuesday Fresh Market's newest vendors is shocking guests with edible art you almost don't want to eat! Stop by Southern Belle's Cottage Bakery's space and you'll find beach scenes, fish, flip flops and "Keep Gulfport Weird" cookies wrapped and ready to eat. Audrey Rinker and her husband Jim, of New Port Richey, launched this small business just two months ago. "This has been a secret dream of mine", Audrey said. Although Audrey has been baking for 40 years, she didn't decide to sell her one-of-a-kind cookies until she retired. "We were in the printing business before," she said. Now, baking not only allows her to channel her inner Picasso, it also sooths her mind. Audrey has a neurological disorder that requires regular…

The free clothing swap returns to the Gulfport Fresh Market May 14. Participants can bring up to five gently used garments to exchange for vouchers that may be used to choose clothes brought in by other participants.

Blood Drive at Gulfport Fresh Market Tuesday

The Florida Blood Services bloodmobile will be in town Tuesday. Donate if you can!

The Gulfport Tuesday Fresh Market is hosting a blood drive with Florida Blood Services tomorrow, May 7, from 9 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. The bloodmobile will be parked near La Cote Basque at the corner of Beach Blvd. and 31st Ave S. Blood and platelet donors will receive a free wellness check-up and cholesterol screening, as well as a $10 e-gift card to a location of their choice, redeemable at the Florida Blood Services/OneBlood.org site. Fresh Market Evening Hours Canceled

The Gulfport Tuesday Fresh Market Coordinator Daniel Hodge says the customer traffic was not enough to warrant the extra work and expenses of putting on "Twilight Tuesdays."

For the past 5 months the Gulfport Tuesday Fresh Market invited guests out for a late night of shopping and cooking demonstrations in downtown Gulfport. For seven years thousands of people have come to Gulfport, once a week, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to shop for local produce, handmade art, jewelry, flowers and more. This past fall, officials announced that the first Tuesday of each month the market would stay open until 8 p.m. to allow residents and visitors, who couldn't make it during the day, to enjoy the Fresh Market at night. Fresh Market, City Offices, Library Closed

The Tuesday Fresh Market is canceled today and city offices such as city hall, library, rec center and senior center are closed for the holiday. Happy New Year!

How are you spending the first day of 2013? Head to the beach, see a movie or even get a headstart on those resolutions by hitting the trails - all Pinellas County Parks will be open. And so will the parks in Gulfport! However, you might want to take note of who's closed on New Year's Day. Closed in Gulfport In observance of the holiday several government offices will be closed including the following in Gulfport: Sanitation pick-ups scheduled for Tuesday will be rescheduled to Wednesday, January 2. Live Cooking Demo at Extended Fresh Market Tonight

A live cooking demonstration is planned for the Gulfport Tuesday Fresh Market during it’s “First Tuesday” evening hours on Tuesday, December 4th. By Daniel Hodge

Beginning 6 p.m., Chef James Clark will demonstrate the preparation of his own sun-dried tomato focaccia bread. Clark is the chef and owner of T and Me Tea Co. in Gulfport. He was previously a chef at the St. Petersburg Vinoy Resort. His focaccia bread is a crowd favorite at T and Me. He will take questions and offer food samples. Clark’s demonstration will be held at the outdoor courtyard adjacent to the former Salty Sal’s location (2930 Beach Blvd. South). (Clark’s demonstration was rescheduled after November’s “First Tuesday” evening event was cancelled due to inclement weather.)
