The Gulfport Merchants association presents the annual Holiday Hoopla! A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit Operation Santa and Gulfport families in need. Happy Holidays from Gulfport Patch! From the annual Holiday Hoopla festival to the traditional lighting of the City of Gulfport Christmas Tree, there's a lot going on in December. Here's what we have so far! City of Gulfport's Tree Lighting Ceremony Bundle up for an evening of festive music by the Gulfport Recreation division, and join the Mayor, Council and Yvonne Johnson in caroling, a true Gulfport tradition. There will be refreshments and festive cheer as the Mayor lights the tree for another holiday season. He will be looking for a few helpers this year, so kids get ready. Vegas Style Fundraiser The Gulfport Casino Ballroom will turn into a high-stakes gambling casino with Vegas style games including poker, blackjack, roulette, craps, slot machines and Texas hold'em. Enjoy auctions, hors d'oeuvres, a full cash bar and live music. Proceeds benefit the Small Business Mentor Program at the Gulfport Area Chamber of Commerce and the Gulfport Multipurpose Senior Center Foundation.
