Gulfport's Get Rescued Today

Thousands will visit Gulfport on Saturday Feb 25 for the annual Gulfport's Get Rescued fundraiser. Are you coming? Here's what you need to know about the day's events!

The 8th Annual Gulfport's Get Rescued fundraiser is expected to lure thousands to the city on Saturday February 25. The all day free event and evening fundraiser will raise money for rescue groups from across the region and beyond. Here's what you need to know if you plan on coming to the event. Daytime Event: Gulfport's Get Rescued is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in downtown Gulfport on Beach Boulevard. It's free to the public. Evening Event: Get Rescued Celebration is from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom at 5500 Shore Blvd.  For the public: The daytime festival is free from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Beach Boulevard in Gulfport. Welcome Dogs & Adoptable Pets! The 8th Annual Gulfport's Get Rescued is today! About 10,000 people and more than 60 regional animal rescue organizations will flood downtown Gulfport today. Come out to the free animal fundraiser. There will be plenty of adoptable pets, a pet parade, pet activities and more! The event is from 10 - 6 p.m. Get Rescued Celebration: The Get Rescued Celebration is tonight from 7 - 11 p.m. at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom. Tickets are $20. The event is also a fundraiser and will benefit animal rescue organizations taking part in the evening event. A limited number of tickets will also be available at the door. Here's what you need to know about one of the largest annual animal rescue fundraisers in Florida.

The 8th Annual Gulfport's Get Rescued fundraiser is expected to lure about 10,000 people to Gulfport on Saturday February 25, 2012. The all day free event and evening fundraiser will raise money for rescue groups from across the region and beyond. Here's what you need to know if you plan on coming to the event. Soooo looking forward to this event. For us doxie lovers there is also an event in Sarasota with the infamous and hilarious wiener racing! Wish they had it on a different day but it's not that very far from Gulfport. It might be possible to at least make their races and enjoy lots of Get Rescued. New Sign: Everyone is invited to the unveiling of the new Clymer Park Welcome to Gulfport Sign tonight at 6 p.m. Local artist Tom Pitzen was chosen to create the sculpture.
