Drum Talk, Drum Circle at Gulfport Art Walk
Uniquely Original Art Gallery promoted conversation and expression through percussion.
Uniquely Original Art Gallery hosted a drum circle this past Friday. The drum circle was done as a free-flowing meetup, allowing each partcipant to express themselves through percussion. Master percussionist Edward Burrows was in attendance to help teach and offer up a bit of his philosophy on drumming. “If you've got a heartbeat, you've got rhythm,” Burrows said to the people interested in joining with the drum circle. The drum circle happens every first Friday at 8pm. Participants are encouraged to bring their own drum to the circle, but drums are available to be played or purchased at Uniquely Original Arts.
