Presidential candidates Barack Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney squared off for the second time Oct. 16. Who do you think came out on top in this debate?
President Barack Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney met for a rematch in Tuesday night's debate, a town hall-style showdown on domestic and foreign policies at Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY. Romney was hailed by many observers as the "winner" of their first debate earlier this month. Who do you think fared better this time? Did either candidate win your vote Tuesday night or state his vision for America more clearly? Did you learn anything new about them? Did the town hall format suit either candidate better? The political pundits, pollsters and bloggers are sure to be debating today who won Thursday night's vice presidential debate. Did Joe Biden's performance provide a bump for President Barack Obama's re-election bid? Or did Congressman Paul Ryan help Gov. Mitt Romney gain momentum? Websites and water coolers will be abuzz all over the country, but we really want to find out what people in Patch towns here in Tampa Bay think. It may seem like the 2012 presidential campaign season has been going on for a long time, but the candidates have yet to debate. That changes Wednesday, Oct. 3, when President Barack Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney square off in the first of three televised debates. An estimated 50 million people are expected to tune in Wednesday, as the candidates address domestic policy issues.
