Man Told to 'Get a Job' Responds to Congressman Young

Andrew "Pepe" Kovanis was told by Rep. C.W. Bill Young to 'get a job,' when he asked the Congressman from Florida if he will support raising the minimum wage to $10.

The following is a letter to the editor from Andrew Pepe Kovanis, whose conversation with the Congressman is on a YouTube video that's gotten more than 60,000 views. As seen widely on the Internet, on July 4, I asked Congressman Bill Young a simple question: Would he support raising the Minimum Wage to support working families. I was shocked when he rudely responded with "Get a job!" I have worked ALL of my adult life while simultaneously putting myself through school at the University of South Florida. I've worked as a painter, a server, a customer service rep, a barista, and a landscaper always making close to minimum wage. After earning my Bachelor's degree I entered the worst job market this country has seen since the Great Depression…

If one does a diligent research into the percentages : income versus cost of goods, cars, houses, electric etc. you'd find the same thing I discovered - Every time wages increased so would "cost of living". The housing bubble burst because it far exceeded the other percentages.
