Gulfport Veteran's Son Died in Benghazi Attack

A ceremony today will honor the life and sacrifices of Sean Smith.

Gulfport war veteran Ray Smith will attend a ceremony at noon today at the Bay Pines VA Medical Center to honor his son, Sean Smith, who will killed on Sept. 11 during an attack on the U.S. consluate in Benghazi, Libya. "They are doing a dedication to my son," Smith told the Tampa Bay Times.  "I am very unhappy that he is dead. He was murdered and they didn't do anything to help him. I am very upset." A plaque will be dedicated in honor of Smith. U.S. Rep. C.W. Bill Young read the message on the Congressional Record on Nov. 30, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
