Metal, Clay Artists to be Featured at '& Gallery'

On March 16 you can meet metal artist Eric Folsom and combined clay/painting artist Monika Watson.

On March 16, Domain Home Accessories & Gallery will host its next “Meet the Artists” event with new art work by metal artist Eric Folsom and combined clay/painting artist Monika Watson. According to a news release, the event will take place from 6 - 10 p.m. at “& Gallery”, 3129 Beach Blvd. Both artists will be on hand to discuss their work and interact with visitors, a news release said. The “Meet the Artists” event will include several new pieces by Folsom, who is a Gulfport native. Pleasure Doing Business: Beach N' Body Boutique

Beach N' Body Boutique combines a bath and body shop with local flair from artists.

The Beach N' Body Boutique might look like just a bath and body shop, but it holds a lot more than meets the eye. The Beach N' Body Boutique is located on Beach Boulevard near Yummy's and Java Nirvana. Owner Rebbeca Park Totilo started out with most of her inventory coming off of etsy.com, a website marketplace for artists to sell their home-made goods. “I tried to stay consistent with getting specialty items. Stuff that you wouldn't find at Walmart or Target,” Totilo said. Beach N' Body opened it's doors almost two years ago, but it wasn't at the same location, Totilo said. Even something as mundane as a mailbox gets a complete overhaul in Gulfport with boxes that take the shape of animals to intricately painted designs. Travel on any given street in Gulfport, you're guaranteed to find at least one mailbox that bucks the norm. In Gulfport, the mailbox is just another way for residents to show their artistic side.
