Adoptables at Risk

Twenty-Five Dogs Need Homes

There are twenty-five dogs at the Pinellas County Animal Shelter that could use a new home!

These are all the dogs that are currently up for adoption at Pinellas County Animal Services. They all need to find that special home with someone who will love them, just as they love people. If you see a dog you want to adopt, make sure to head down to Animal Services. If that dog has already been adopted, make sure you take a good look at all the dogs available. Get Rescued Under Way

There is plenty of love and goodwill to go around today for the rescued pets up for adoption at Gulfport's annual event, which runs until 6 p.m.

The annual Get Rescued drew dozens of pet rescue agencies and their four-legged orphans today in need of a forever home. The event started at 9 a.m. and runs until 6 p.m. Visitors get a chance to see up close a variety of rescued animals, from chihuahuas and pugs to standard-size poodles and Golden Retrievers. There also are vendors offering handmade items for sale, from cutlery wind chimes to sea glass pendants. A strong ocean breeze has kept things cool throughout the day along lovely Beach Boulevard. Patch also has tent at the festival. Stop by for a Patch ballpoint pen, sign up for our morning newsletter and meet Local Editor Cherlene Willis.
