Thousands were lured to the 5th annual event! Did you go? Upload your photos here!
When Tyrone Square Mazda became the presenting sponsor of the 5th Annual Tangerine Blues Fest in Gulfport, organizers knew it would result in a larger donation to All Children's Hospital. The numbers are still coming in, but officials believe this year's attendance surpassed last year's numbers of about 8,000 attendees. This year's line up originally included Sterling Magee, however, officials were notified that he was unable to make it and The Dukes of Juke filled in at the last minute. Other live bands included No Money Down, Betty Fox and Sean Chambers. Last year So49 donated $5,000 to All Children's Hospital. The money more than quadrupled its donation from $1,200 in 2010. Quite a music mixture: country, country rock, sawgrass blues. A number of folks were confused a bit about this "blues-promoted" festival. Beautiful night to dance and get down under the stars to whatever the band wanted to play. Folks were into it. Food was uneven: Ribs tasty, but the collard greens needed seasoning and this was the first time in my life that I had a sweet potato with absolutely …   more ›
