fyi-On the ''Geckofest Website'' link/page...at the very bottom of that page is a Gulfport map thatRead More shows the Trolley route. In the upper right corner of the map is a list of all the stops in the order the Trolley arrives at them. After the Wood Ibis Park stop, there are 2 stops listed that do not exist (one on 21st Ave, and one on 15th Ave)...either that, or the Trolley route is not drawn to show them.

We have attended several performances by City of Imagination and have found them to be of highRead More quality and good taste. Some may find some of the pieces slightly provocative, but isn't that what theater is all about?
CJ July 8, 2013 at 11:32 am
Well yes, Bob. Sort of. I think theater's purpose is defined more complicated than that, though. TheRead More fact the name has the word ''naked'' in it...and this is Gulfport...lol... it is not really a stretch to see why I might want it clarified it is family material...lol. Considering it's name, it might have been a good idea to have the phrase ''family friendly'' in the movie description...although we have seen some things here and there that claimed to be family safe but they were not.

Bob. I will share a funny local story on something related that happened to us. Twice a day, weRead More drive back and forth to downtown St Pete and back....and usually take Central because we enjoy driving on it. Keep in mind we have only lived here just over one year. I had seen ''for months'' this sidewalk sign in front of "Art Pool'' that said they had something like 50 crafts beers. My focus was on the "craft beer"...lol. Well...not long ago...a couple weeks ago or so...I saw an article about how they were having some event there, so I saw this as a good chance to go check the place out with my wife and drink some beer. I probably saw the article on The Patch...lol. We showed up but were only intending to be out for about an hour, and they charged $20 to get in...so we passed on going in. But as my wife and I turned around to go back to the car, a quite beautiful girl with painted, "naked", and nice breasts ran right into me...lol. I did one of those ''double-takes'', practically in disbelief of what my eyes had seen and what my chest had just rubbed against. I leaned over to my wife and asked if I had just seen what I thought I had seen and she said ''yes''...and brought to my attention of what was walking down the sidewalk towards us. More lovely girls with painted breasts. They went by, and with a gulp still in my throat I thought ''hmmmmm''...and then told me wife I had changed my mind about spending the $20 and wanted to go in after all...and she dragged me back to the car...lol. It was later we figured out it was a ''gay pride'' thing. My point is...if it were just me and my wife going to this play...then we could care less if it had nudity or whatever...but we are taking my son with us also...lol.

What a day! What a celebration! What a downpour! To see ALL the churches, corporations, andRead More politicians following one after the other after the other offering support and commitment to the LGBT community was something I never thought I'd see when I came out in 1972.
Greg Stemm June 30, 2013 at 01:33 pm
Thanks everyone for coming out and sticking around despite the rain. A wonderful day for ourRead More community and for St. Petersburg. Let's celebrate marriage equality here in Florida within the next five years!!

How exciting! Another enriching aspect of Gulfport by proven local performers and artists. EveryRead More Gulfportian should enjoy and support this wonderful resource

Hi CJ Thanks for the clarifications on your comments and Thanks to Cherlene for getting this clearedRead More up. We are just trying to have a little fun with the bike too. When you get a chance come on down say HI and get some hot sauce.
CJ April 2, 2013 at 06:20 pm
You are welcome. I have to be honest...I think it is funny that anyone took it serious. I did notRead More mean for that to happen. I thought somebody would see it as a joke right off. I got 4 people ''real good'' yesterday that I ''fooled''. A neighbor is doing some remodeling with no permit. He left his house and I made up a "WARNING" flyer on Microsoft Word that looked like it was from the Police, the City Code Dept, etc. I posted it on his door along with some yellow police tape and he was convinced he was banned from entering his house. This was one of my more successful April Fools Day Years. Am I to assume you are an owner or whatever of the hot sauce place? Funny that you of all people would have been fooled...because surely you realize that many people have been tricked into eating hot sauce that is way above what they can tolerate...lol. So indirectl, lol, you yourself are as bad as me for being the source of such a ''hot commodity" :) Yes...I am guilty of making a few people get rather frantic after trying some of the sauWell that's it for Miss March 2013. Thank you Suarez. Time to meet Miss April 2013ces from your shop. One person barely could keep from going to the emergency room. Me? I love your hot sauce and can eat just about any I have tried. You may remember me as the customer that told you I have a hot sauce war going on with a 12 year old neighbot of mine. At our neighbpor hood BBQ's we have often, me and him always get some good laughs setting people up, lol.

Cherlene...I just noticed something odd. Where did the: ''Well that's it for Miss March 2013. ThankRead More you Suarez. Time to meet Miss April 2013'' part come from??? I did not type that and have no idea what it is about...is this some sort of April Fools Day joke back to me...lol? If so, it is funny, but just saw it on the Patch ''stories of the week'' email that is sent out.
