Gulfport Weekender: Geckofest, Food Truck Rally, Fish Fry

Geckofest: The 13th Annual Geckofest kicks off at 10 a.m. in downtown Gulfport on Saturday, August 31. The end of the summer celebration is free for the entire family. Gulfport Lions Labor Day Fish Fry: 
Everyone is invited to an all-you-can-eat fish dinner at the Gulfport Lions Den at 4630 Tifton Drive S. on Monday, September 2. Dinner is $9 for adults and $5 for children under 10. The menu includes Fresh Northern Pollock, homemade hushpuppies, slaw, beans, coffee and iced tea. For more information check out the event in our free calendar.

Art Exhibit at Florida Craftsmen: 
Everyone is invited to a free exhibit this Thursday through Sunday at the Florida Craftsmen at 501 Central Ave S. The official opening for THEATRE + ART + VISION – BEHIND THE SCENES is Thursday from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. For more information check out this website.

Rock at the Palladium Theater: Guitarist Robby Krieger will perform ay 8 p.m. Saturday, August 31 at The Palladium Theater at 253 5th Ave N. Tickets range from $25,60 to $36.50.

‘World’s Largest Food Truck Rally’: Enjoy live entertainment and plenty of food as dozens of food trucks rally at the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4800 U.S. 301, on Saturday, Aug. 31. The event begins at 11 a.m. and runs through 8 p.m. About 15 bands are expected to play and organizers are shooting for 100 food trucks. Find out more on South Tampa Patch.
