Geckofest: The 13th Annual Geckofest kicks off at 10 a.m. in downtown Gulfport on Saturday, August 31. The end of the summer celebration is free for the entire family. Gulfport Lions Labor Day Fish Fry: Everyone is invited to an all-you-can-eat fish dinner at the Gulfport Lions Den at 4630 Tifton Drive S. on Monday, September 2. Dinner is $9 for adults and $5 for children under 10. The menu includes Fresh Northern Pollock, homemade hushpuppies, slaw, beans, coffee and iced tea. ‘World’s Largest Food Truck Rally’: Enjoy live entertainment and plenty of food as dozens of food trucks rally at the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4800 U.S. 301, on Saturday, Aug. 31. The event begins at 11 a.m. and runs through 8 p.m. About 15 bands are expected to play and organizers are shooting for 100 food trucks. Find out more on South Tampa Patch.
