Gulfport Weekender: Blues Fest, Triathlon, Free Museum Day

Tangerine Blues Fest: It's that time of year again! The Annual Tyrone Square Mazda Presents The Tangerine Blues Festival is on Saturday from 9 a.m. - 10 p.m. For more info about the free music event in Gulfport, check out our article, "The Tangerine Blues Fest: Free Bluegrass & Blues in Gulfport."

Mini Triathlon: The "Keep Gulfport Weird Mini Triathlon" is also on Saturday! Come out bright and early and run 1 mile, bike 3 miles and swim 1/4 miles in Gulfport. Museum Hop for Free: Here’s one for your calendars. Saturday, Sept. 28 is Arts Alive/Free Museum Day in St. Petersburg. Between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. you can visit some of the city’s most notable museums, including the Dali and Holocaust museums, at no charge. Check out the event’s website for more details.

Local Yard Sales: Be sure to check our calendar and new "Buy:Sell:Trade" board on Gulfport Patch. We're seeing more yard sales popping up. Smith is holding one at 2655 6th Ave S. in St. Pete and Karen posted two addresses for sales on Friday and Saturday - get the details and see the photos here. 

Sunshine Headed Our Way: That's right! According to the National Weather Service, it'll be mostly sunny on Friday - with a high of 88. Saturday, we have a 20 percent chance of isolated thunderstorms and on Sunday - it'll be mostly sunny with a high near 87.
