Gulfport Weekender: Art Walk, Flea Market, AVP Beach Qualifier

Looking for something fun to do in Gulfport this weekend? Look no further.

First Friday Art Walk: Enjoy a nice evening out at the First Friday Art Walk in Gulfport. Come out for dinner at one of several local restaurants and then stroll along Beach Boulevard from 6 - 10 p.m. on Sept. 6. 

Mini Flea Market: The Gulfport Senior Center is hosting a flea market on Friday, Sept. 6 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. You'll find bargain prices at the event.

AVP Beach Qualifier: The Association of Volleyball Professionals is holding qualification matches at Gulfport Beach on Sept. 7 and 8 for the AVP St. Pete Open. Come out and watch! Four men's teams and four women's teams will advance from GulfportBeach to compete in the St. Pete Open. 

Council Workshop: Heads up! The Gulfport City Council usually holds city workshops on Thursdays, however, this week, they will be discussing several issues on Friday. The workshop begins at 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 6 at Gulfport City Hall. Check out the agenda on the city's website and watch the meeting live online. 

How to Grow Bamboo: The Sunken Gardens in St. Pete is hosting a workshop gardeners may be interested in! On Saturday, Sept. 7 Karlyn Bradshaw of Island's Bamboo Garden will present "Growing Safe Bamboo in Your Florida Garden" at 11:30 a.m. The event is free for members or with paid admission.
