This Week in Gulfport: Big Birthday at Senior Center, Beach Cleanup, City Bash

There's a lot going on this week in Gulfport! See what's coming up and be sure to mark your calendars!

Songs for the Pantry: Bongo Bob will entertain crowds at the Gulfport Senior Center on Monday, Oct. 7 from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. The price for the bongo concert is a donation for the pantry or a small grocery gift card.

Free Clothing Swap: The Gulfport Tuesday Fresh Market has extended it's hours for the fall season. Come out from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Tuesday. Also, this Tuesday - organizers will be holding the monthly clothing swap between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. at Beach Blvd. and 30th Ave S. “Bring in up to 5 garments to exchange for free with other swap participants or purchase vouchers for $3 each to select clothing. Extra clothing donations encouraged. All proceeds and remaining clothing benefit CASA (Community Action Stops Abuse).”

30th Birthday: Happy Birthday Gulfport Senior Center! The center will be celebrating 30 years on Wednesday, Oct. 9 from 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. There will be a sock hop, photo booth and munchies!

Beach Cleanup: The Gulfport Neighbors are hosting a community cleanup at Gulfport Beach on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. Please meet at shelter 4. Organizers are asking volunteers to wear good foot protection and support and provide your own water, trash bag, plastic gloves and hand sanitizer. A rake and grabber may be useful too. There will be Gulfport Neighbors T-shirts for purchase for $10.

Gulfport Birthday Bash: The annual Gulfport Birthday Bash kicks off at the Gulfport Historical Museum from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Saturday. "Gulfport Under the Stars" kick off from 6 - 10 p.m.
