Mayor Sam Henderson presented Philip Reed with the "Spirit of Gulfport Award" Tuesday night. Reed was recognized for his efforts with the 49th St. South Business Association.
Reed was nominated for the award by Councilor Michael Fridovich for his work with the organization's events such as the So Classic Car Show and Tangerine Blues Festival, which raises money for All Children's Hospital in downtown St. Pete.
