Sizzling Sunday in Gulfport

"Volleyball", no finer a word has ever been spoken. Oh, unless it's two words and sounds like, "Women's Volleyball". That's right people. I'm talking about some sizzling-kickbutt in the Gulfport sand box. This Sunday proved to be a scorcher on and off the court, as the photo of this player can attest to. While it may look like she's playing 'Futebol', she's really dancing like a cat on a hot tin roof. It was a fire-walking ceremony just to fetch the ball. There were some amazing jumps and slams, lots of bad-to-the-bone spikes and a couple of face-offs at the net.

For those of you who missed it, no worries. There's always next week. These women bring it and serve it.

Who are these amazing women. They're you and me and any woman out there who wants to come cut up and spike a few balls, scream and dance like a cheerleader, or just hang.

Sunday afternoons, the Gulfport Beach Volleyball pits' the place to be. Bring your lawn chairs, your umbrella's and hats, your guts, your glory, your sense of humor, and plenty of water to drink. Arrival time is around 1 or 1:30pm. Some good women having some good fun.
