I was walking down the sidewalk on Beach Boulevard during last Tuesday's Fresh Market when I spotted a little black puppy at the end of a leash. They are all puppies to me. Their actual age is irrelevent. Just past the puppy was this great little Natural Doggy Treat Booth, so I stopped in my tracks and asked if I could snag a cookie for the puppy. The dog's person overheard and said, without redirecting her shopping eye, "He won't eat it. He doesn't eat things like that. He's picky."
She hadn't gotten the last word out before I had knelt down and was being relieved without delay of the All Natural Peanut Butter Dog Treat by Nutty Buddy Biscuits. That little puppy scarfed that snick-snack down and was looking for another.
