I don't know about the rest of you, but I really miss not having my daily Neptunes fix. They have been closed this week due to the installation of a new kitchen hood above the stove. All did not go as smoothly as hoped with the installation and so, it has taken longer than expected. When I spoke with Gus today, he was hopeful that Thursday would see them back up and running, Friday at the latest. This is great news and I am really very excited about it.
While all of Gulfport has become my social network, Neptunes provided, as Angie Anderson, a Neptune bartender, all-around therapist, and good friend would say, a base of operations for networking and socializing. I stopped by earlier Wednesday afternoon to get some pictures of the work in progress and an update for all of you who were wondering as I was, what the heck was taking so long. Not to worry, they'll be open just in time for us to sit and watch any Rita weather we might get, blow through from our favorite perches at the Neptunes tiki bar.
