Hit Me, Baby, One More Time!

Stella's Sushi Bar is a feast for the senses: vibrant colors, teasing smells and textures for the lips and tongue.

The first place I ate when I pulled into town with my overloaded trailer at 8 a.m. after driving close to 72 hours alone, non-stop, was Stella's Deli and Gelato on Beach Boulevard.

When my friends sat me down at that table of eight women in the back corner near the bathroom, I took my first free breath in years. The waitress came over and put her hand on my shoulder when she asked what I wanted to drink.

I came close to crying right then and there, because I felt I'd made it home. Then, when I dove into the breakfast plate the waitress placed before me, I knew I had.

However, Saturday night, after six months of believing I'd finally come home, Stella's proved to me that what I'd really done was died and gone to heaven.

This Friday and Saturday night Stella's premiered it's Elegant-Cool Sushi Bar and I must say, it was fabulous! The food was presented as works of culinary art. There was stimulation for all my senses with each bite: vibrant colors and lines, light teasing smells, textures and flavors for lips and tongue, delicate crisps and crunches.

Any pleasure-seeking foodie in the Tampa Bay area who likes their fish raw and fresh should head over to Stella's Sushi Bar.

The meal and evening were a night to remember – and definitely not a one-night stand.
