A Call To All Golfers From The Triathlon

The Boca Ciega Golf Tournament and Fundraiser. Kid's Fun Day Fundraiser at Yummy's

It was mentioned at the Keep Gulfport Weird Mini Triathlon this morning by the Mayor that Boca Ciega High School needs players and sponsors for it's Fundraiser Golf Tournament which, if not mistaken, goes to support the athletic department initiatives.

My first priority is always reading and writing but athletics, in proper perspective, are vital to the well-rounding of our youth.

So, I was wondering if I could get 3 people to team up with me and sponsor a hole. It's $100 a hole and $80 to play. If 4 people share one sponsorship then it's only $25 a person for sponsorship. I can do $25.

Any takers? Come on, I know lots of you are sports lovers! Give me a call or shoot me an email. Let's help make someone's day.

I clearly have too few details about this event and can't seem to find any on line. If anyone with more details could take a moment to comment and give us a better understanding of the event, a needs list, a date and time and any contact info, I'd be extremely grateful. Plenty of us would like to help, if we can.

Also, I hope I see lots of you at the Kids' Fun Day at Yummy's this Sunday, September 30 from 11am to 3pm. I've been talking about it for 2 months now. This is the pay off, thank you Denise and Lori!

...and so it begins.

There will be carnival style games, a raffle drawing for some awesome prizes, and a build-your-own Sunday bar, I'm told, along with all the tasty treats on the Yummy's menu.

Count me in! Proceeds go towards the purchase of Two Emergent Reader Libraries, one for the Gulfport Public Library and one for Gulfport Elementary School. Bring the whole family! Have fun and support the education of our youth while doing it.
