Bark in the Park Is Today at Tropicana Field

Baseball with your best (four-legged) pal at your side. How American is that? The Wiggles play after the game. Kids, get a free DJ Kitty bobblehead, too.

Who let the dogs out?

Today is Bark in the Park, a chance to not only take the kids to the ball game but to bring along your family family dog for some canine-friendly events and promotions.

The Tampa Bay Rays are hosting the first ever Bark in the Park event at Tropicana Field during the Rays-Orioles game at 1:40 p.m.

There is a special seating area just for dogs. The Party Deck will turn into the “Dog Zone,” with product samples, SPCA of Tampa Bay pet adoption booth and activities for both dogs and their owners.

  • The first 10,000 kids 14 and under on Aug. 5 will receive a DJ Kitty bobblehead.
  • The Wiggles are scheduled to perform as part of the Rays 2012 Summer Concert Series at the conclusion of the game as part of Family Fun Day.

For more information and to purchase the special dog package, please log on to raysbaseball.com/dogday. But hurry!

The $20 package includes a ticket in the Party Deck for one person and his or her dog, admission to the Dog Zone and a Rays dog bowl.

Fans can purchase additional human tickets for $15 a piece, with the purchase of the dog package.

All dogs must have the required vaccinations and must be leashed (no retractable leashes) and licensed. The Rays reserve the right to deny any dog or human entrance to Tropicana Field to the Bark in the Park event for any reason they may see fit.
