"Our Heritage..........Our Future

As I have expressed from the beginning of this campaign, I have chosen to run for the position of Ward 3 Council Member to represent the residents of Gulfport.

I feel I am the right candidate for this position due to my love for this City, my lifetime residency, knowledge of the City's heritage and relationship with so many of its residents and employees. As both of my parents, Joseph Perry and Colleen Camp, who have served as Council Members in the past, I will honor their efforts and continue to strive to maintain a safe, friendly and prosperous city in which to live and raise a family.

As council member I will work to ensure Gulfport's financial growth and security, continue to provide our current level of city services, preserve Gulfport's character, protect individual rights and faithfully represent your concerns at City Council. I will always remember that this City belongs to it's residents and together we can make decisions in the best interest for all of us.

During this campaign I have met many generous and hospitable people who have supported me in this endeavor. This positive response has driven me harder to provide the best service possible to represents your concerns.

Thank you again to all that have supported me and I look forward to serving you in the near future."

Jennifer Salmon

"If re-elected, I will continue to listen to everyone and I will:

  • Keep our local police.
  • Preserve our small town life.
  • Protect the environment.
  • Lower energy costs.
  • Defend individual rights
  • Promote organic gardening.
  • Support public art.

In addition to two years of experience on council, I served as treasurer and then president of a 100 unit condominium in Tampa, I have been a researcher in aging for 23 years; taught college for 15 of those years, and, most importantly, I am a mother of a six year old son.

Our job is to make sure Gulfport is a great city for all of us now and for our grandchildren's grandchildren. I would be honored if you support me with your vote on March 13th or on your absentee ballot. Please visit my website at electjennifersalmon.com or call me at 399-7746. Thank you!"
