Video: Jennifer Salmon to Continue on City Council

According to the unofficial results from the Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections, Incumbent Jennifer Salmon clinched the majority of the vote, 1,084 to 695 votes cast for James Perry for the Ward 3 Gulfport City Council seat.

Incumbent Jennifer Salmon received 1,084 votes in the March 13 Municipal Elections according to the unofficial Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections website. Candidate James Perry received 695 votes according to the unofficial results.

Gulfport Patch caught up with James Perry who congratulates Jennifer Salmon on her win and added that he's a "little bit" disappointed in the loss. When asked if he would run again Mr. Perry said, "I probably would. There's still some changes that need to be done."

Jennifer Salmon received 718 absentee votes and 366 election day poll votes totalling 1,084 votes. That's 60.93% according to the Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections Office.

James Perry received 376 absentee votes and 317 election day poll votes and 2 provisional, totalling 695. That's 39.07% according to the Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections Office.
