The protests come in the wake of the not-guilty verdict in the second-degree murder trial of George Zimmerman. Even though Zimmerman’s lawyers didn’t use Florida’s Stand Your Ground law to build their defense, protesters say it’s time to take a closer look at the legislation that allows the use of deadly force when a person fears for life, according to TBO.com.
