The City of Gulfport is sponsoring a Meet the Candidates forum to help voters learn more about the mayoral candidates.

Everyone is invited to the annual city sponsored "Meet the Candidates" forum on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 7 p.m. at Gulfport City Hall.
Vice Mayor Sam Henderson and former council member Bob Worthington are running for Gulfport Mayor. After nearly 27 years of serving the City of Gulfport, Mayor Mike Yakes is retiring following the city elections.

The municipal elections are on Tuesday, March 12, 2013. The mayor serves a three-year term and council members serve two-year terms. The voter registration deadline is Monday, February 11, 2013 for the next city elections. For more information on how to register visit the Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections website.
