Gulfport Police Explorers Receive $500 Donation
The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners chose the Gulfport post of Police Explorers to be the recipient of their annual donation.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement's (FDLE) Special Agent Ellen Wilcox was on hand at Tuesday night's City Council meeting to award the Gulfport Police Explorers Post 995 with a $500 check.
Wilcox was representing the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. The organization hands out scholarships and donations annually. The donations are made to an explorer post of choice and this year, Gulfport was the number one candidate.
Detective Hanh Pham was joined by Explorer James Gainer to accept the check from Wilcox.

As she handed over the check, Wilcox urged Explorer James Gainer to use the check "to further" Explorer Post 995. He smiled and replied, "yes ma'am."
