Video: Check N Go Robbed at Gunpoint

During the robbery, police said, the suspect made repeated threats to shoot the clerk if he did not comply with his demands.

On Monday, a Check N Go, just blocks from Gulfport, was robbed at gunpoint. 

According to St. Petersburg Police, the clerk said a lone suspect entered the business, at 2148 34 St. S. He displayed the butt of a gun in his waistband while demanding cash from the teller drawers.

The clerk complied and provided the suspect with cash. During the robbery, police said, the suspect made repeated threats to shoot the clerk if he did not comply with his demands.

Police said after escorting the clerk to several other locations in the business looking for money, the suspect fled the store and was last seen running north in the parking lot. No getaway vehicle was seen.

The suspect was described as a black male in his early 30s, 6'2, slender,
wearing a tan floppy hat, sunglasses, light-colored pullover long sleeve shirt and black pants.

St. Petersburg Police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying
the suspect in this case.
