Police SWAT Team at Villa Grande South
A man is standing outside with a gun. The public is advised to stay away from that area until further notice.
UPDATE, 9:15 a.m.: Police advise that the situation is now resolved, with the suspect in custody.
ORIGINAL POST: SWAT team members are currently at a home at Villa Grande South, where there is a 58-year-old man standing outside with a handgun.
St. Petersburg Police say that at least one shot has been fired. The man is reportedly threatening to hurt himself. The media are being asked not to use helicopters.
The public is advised to stay away from that area.
