A St. Pete Beach man was arrested and charged with domestic battery by strangulation and grand theft.

Gulfport Police arrested Thomas Michael Pick, 31, of St. Pete Beach, after he allegedly battered and strangled a woman on July 12.

The victim, according to the Pinellas County arrest affidavit, had several large scratch marks across her face, a large knot on her forehead and two red, swollen eyes. According to the report, the woman's right eye had a broken blood vessel.

During the attack, Pick strangled the woman and twisted her head, police say.
