Marijuana Plants Found Growing in Gulfport

Gulfport Police found nearly two dozen marijuana plants growing in a backyard, according to reports.

Gulfport Police found several marijuana plants growing in a man's backyard last Saturday.

According to the Pinellas County arrest report, 21 marijuana pots were located in Steve Michael Follin's backyard at the 3100 block of 56th St. S. on Sept. 7.

Follin, 50, of Gulfport, gave officers permission to search his backyard and two sheds after officials were informed that Follin was growing the plants, police say.

Follin was arrested on the charge of manufacturing marijuana, a felony. He has since posted $5,000 bail and was released.
