Gulfport Police are asking the public to help identify the suspect who stole $20 from an elderly woman at the Wells Fargo ATM Wednesday and then bit a motorist who tried to help her.

According to police, the Gulfport resident took out $20 in cash from the Wells Fargo ATM, at 2001 49th St. S., on Dec. 12 at 10:25 a.m. The woman was approaching her vehicle when the suspect walked up to her.

He allegedly grabbed her hand and pried the cash from it. He said “I need that money” before taking off.

The woman yelled for help and motorist driving by on a scooter responded, according to police.

I would think they have cameras at the ATM and can post a picture of this low life that would rob anyone especially a senior citizen and a woman. I hope they catch him and take him off the streets where he don't belong
