There is no better place than Gulfport to spend Mother's Day. With the waterfront district in walking distance and an unmatched view of the inner coastal, it is safe to say that any mother would be ecstatic to spend Sunday in our little town. If you are looking for a traditional brunch with entertainment starting later in the day, check out the Peninsula Inn. Brunch will run from 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Options will include eggs benedict, omlettes, wraps and salads. Bloody Mary's and mimosa's will also be served. The menu is separate from the normal offerings and starts at about $10 per person.
Are you in the mood for a unique environment and a stellar menu? Try the Horse and Jockey on for size. For Mother's Day, the establishment will be having a special on all of the regular entrees. Plates will be up for grabs at $13.95 each. The dish is served with either a soup or salad to start. Moms will receive a complimentary mimosa or glass of champagne. The special runs from open until close.

If you would like to try a little taste of a big city style deli, visit Stella's. The annual Mother's Day Brunch will be in full effect on Sunday morning, starting at 7 a.m. The infamous crab cake special is the main event. Patrons can enjoy a crab cake benedict or a California benedict (made with fresh avocado). In light of the holiday, Stella's will be handing out flowers to all visiting moms on Sunday as well.
For a laid back yet luxurious experience for Mom, pull up a seat at O'Maddy's. The menu is still being perfected for Sunday, but the chef anticipates a surf and turf option as well as a ravioli dish. Plates will never be priced over $20 and mimosas will be available for a solid Sunday start. Dessert will also be an option for Mom at O'Maddy's.

If you're looking for an intimate setting, make reservations at La Cote Basque. They're offering a Mother's Day Special with Virginia baked ham, Duck ala Rounge and Veal Francaise for $14.95 from 3 - 11 p.m. Reservations are encouraged. Call (727) 321-6888 reserve your table. The restaurant will offer their regular Early Bird and Dinner Menu as well.
