Five Things to Know: Thursday, April 5

All-you-can-eat Island Cuisine, Salsa dancing and the fast-paced play "On My Mind" are some of the great things happening in Gulfport today. Time to have some fun!

 

 

On My Mind "...On My Mind" is a "fast paced" show of six short plays, directed by Ciara Carinci. Presented tonight at the Schork Munsell Studios, located at the Artists Alley of Beach Blvd at 5437 29th Ave S. The Schork Munsell Studios is an art space that features art pieces by local artists, including sculptures, paintings, original films, galleries, literary readings and more. Shows are at 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. The price is $15 and reservations are requested. Relay for Life — The Relay for Life is just two weeks away! The American Cancer Society holds this unique event and its goal is to raise money to help fight cancer in a fun, family-friendly way. All proceeds from the event will benefit American Cancer Society to help find cures. This year, the Relay for Life of Gulfport is on Saturday, April 14 starting at 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 15 at Gulfport Recreation Center field, 5730 Shore Blvd. S.
