Cat trapped in tented building on beach drive....

Last night around 9pm we were picking up a pizza at Cousins and outside on the sidewalk was a young couple pointing at the tented house on beach drive.   As I walked by with my pie, we could hear a cat meowing from inside the tent.  I tried to hold my breath and lift the corner to free the little feline...but no luck.  The tent was very heavy and the sides were weighted and could not be pulled up.

We called the listing Realtor on the sign out front....but it was to late for him to stop the process.
He did say he was a cat person and that this was a horrible development.

We drove home and we were so disturbed that we went back to the house and as it turned out, the extermination company had pulled in and they were getting ready to gas the tent.  We notified the workers about the situation....they weren't too concerned, but did make an effort to see if the cat was accessible.  I told them I called the Realtor and that they should contact their boss for permission to delay the gas.   They were not happy, but seemed to care.

We drove home again....thinking about the little trapped cat, and noticed one of Gulfport's finest in the library parking lot....we turned around again and pulled up next to the officer to let him know what was going down.

Gotta love Gulport's finest.  He responded to the scene to see if he could offer assistance.

Not sure if the little feline was saved or not.

Sure hope so!
