Help Save the Gulfport Post Office!

Petition to continue service at the current Gulfport Post Office in the Beach Bazaar at 3115 Beach Blvd.

The Gulfport Post Office has been located at 3115 Beach Blvd. S. since 1952! New owners Biff and Angela Lagan are currently requesting that the United States Post Office keep this branch operational under their management. If you would like to help keep this service in Gulfport at the Gulfport Beach Bazaar you are asked to come by and sign the petition at the shop or at the Chamber.

The Gulfport Area Chamber of Commerce has sent a formal request to the United States Postal Office urging the seamless continuation of this branch.

I just spoke with Biff and he said they are open until 5 p.m. today and plan to mail the petition tomorrow. So - everyone needs to go in today if they want to add their name on the petition. - Cherlene

I signed. Please everyone, sign! One of the nicest things about our village is that we can walk down to the Beach Bazaar Post Office, greeting and being greeted by our village fellows. It's a ritual social stop and an important service for those that can't go to far or have no car. It's a foundation block of what makes Gulfport the town it is.
I am so sad that we lost Mary. She was awesome! I looked forward to saying hi to her and talking concrete and roofs and books. Mary, I miss you already!

I want to know what else we can do? My husband and I do not live in Gulfport but we were married there fifteen years ago at the Seabreeze. We have the fondest memories of your little store. On the counter at the back of the store was a box of kittens for free, we took a little black and white manx that we named Honeymoon. He was the best cat to date that we have ever had. Sadly he has past but to lose your little post office that we visit every year would be like losing him all over again. We do live in Florida and if there is anything we can do please make us aware. Thanks, Honeymooners from the Past

I have to correct this typo..."Bummed to hear they moved, but very happy they are not able toRead More help more animals. " They ARE still helping orphan and injured wildlife. We have worked very hard to achieve this opportunity to do so and the universe has rewarded our efforts...funny how that happens. anyway, thanks Charlene for all that YOU do to get the word out about our town.
