Help Give Gulfport Elementary Students School Supplies

Learn how you can help students in Gulfport.

In just one month, local business owners and the Gulfport Area Chamber of Commerce are hoping to garner donations for school supplies.

Local business owners Tony Spinney and Christine Gallagher are kicking off "Operation a Gift for Learning." The two are pairing up with the Gulfport Area Chamber of Commerce to help gather donations and purchase school supplies at cost for students at Gulfport Elementary.

Tony Spinney, co-owner of The Cell Phone Solution on Gulfport Blvd, says he and his wife Christine helped with a similar program in Orlando last summer. Now, they want to give back in Gulfport.

How it works!

The community is encouraged to make monetary donations and drop off checks at The Cell Phone Solution or the Gulfport Area Chamber of Commerce as soon as possible. Because Tony and Christine also own America's Office Source, a home and office supply company, they will buy paper, pens, pencils and other school supplies at cost. This will allow them to purchase two to four times the amount of supplies with the amount of money donated.
