Community Corner

Visiting Mr. Green

Visiting Mr. Green, written by Jeff Baron, is a Jewish family drama that takes place in NY City. The story line involves the elderly Mr. Green wandering into New York traffic and almost getting hit by a car driven by Ross, a young corporate. For this crime, Ross is given a 6- month sentence that involves community service of helping this recent widower once a week for 6 months. At first, these two men don’t even want to be in the same room with each other, but, after a bit of time passes and they get to know one another, those attitudes change completely and they really start caring about each other. Soon old wounds that they've both been hiding for many years are opened and the real drama starts. Audiences will find this play to be very absorbing, very moving, and fit for all ages.
