John LeVique Pirate Days

The

13th Annual John LeVique Pirate Days will celebrate more than a decade of

decadence while preparing its residents for hurricane season on May 9-11, 2014.  The event celebrates LeVique’s discovery of the John’s Pass waterway

following the Great Gale of 1848. The John’s Pass Village Association will host

a variety of events throughout the weekend including a pirate’s ball, pirate sea

battle and boat parade, a family treasure hunt, adults and children’s costume

contests, a pub crawl and more.  The

event will also include various pirate themed merchandise, food and beverage

vendors, along with an abundance of authentic performers.  Step off the shuttle at the main entrance to

Village Boulevard and enter a world of the past. Shop for nautical and pirate

themed treasures and visit the Hurricane Expo sponsored by Lowes with loads of

give-a-ways! Food and beverages will be available near the main stage, as well

as at a wide selection of local restaurants. Pirate themed musicians, comedy

acts and other family friendly entertainment will be performing Village wide throughout

the weekend.  Complimentary parking and

shuttle service is available at Madeira Beach Fundamental School at 591 Tom

Stuart Causeway. Additional pay parking is available within John's Pass

Village, and along Gulf Blvd.  Although

admission to the event is gratis, there is a suggested donation of a

buck-an-ear to be donated to charity.

Adventure and Mad Beach Craft Brewery, features live entertainment by The Bawdy
